Drabber

Drabber is a free open source program for drummers which allows you to tab your favourite bands songs. As well as using its own format for editing and playing back the songs, Drabber supports exporting to ASCII/HTML files for uploading to a tabbing site. A powerful integrated MIDI playback feature allows you to playback the tabs on external (MIDI compatible) drum machines and keyboards. The program was designed by a drummer and so a real understanding of what a drummer needs is evident throughout the project. A carefully designed clipboard enhances the already top notch copy and paste facilities as well as handy recycle bin to retain deleted bars and prevent accidental deletion. As with all the rest of our software line, free updates are included with the product and a fast web update utility is integrated in the program to ensure you are kept up to date with the latest version. Support files are installed with the software and a free support forum is always available.

Drabber BETA available           (2006-02-28 12:00:16) Drabber BETA is now available for testing.
If you find any bugs let me know.
Please don't tell me that features which should be there are "missing", mainly because I’m working on those!
But let me know if there are features which don't appear in the program which you would like to see. (I'm aware of UNDO/REDO.. but that won't come for a long while, it's very difficult to implement properly!)

Update           (2006-02-24 18:58:40) The BETA release for Drabber will hopefully be out by Midnight on the Sunday>Monday (GMT)
The BETA despite the lack of publicity seems to be drawing strong interest. Emails requesting when the new software will be out, and even better emails requesting to be BETA testers!
We now have a new, very enthusiastic BETA tester for Drabber. James (as well as members from the Taborama forum community) will be testing the software when the BETA is released on Sunday night.
The timing for finding a new BETA tester could not have been better.
I'd like to take this moment to thank everyone who help with the project (Right from the first version over a year and a half ago). Big Thanks Guys.

Update           (2006-02-17 07:53:59) Right I think it's time for an update.

Tabber Version 2 Alpha is now being tested by various people.
A public BETA release will be available in 2 weeks with all the features implemented. Look out at taboramaforum.com to see what people have to say.

The Final Version 2.0 release will be around the 15th of march.

New screensaver out!           (2005-10-31 17:23:23) A screensaver has just been released which displays & scrolls the source for the Linux Kernel onto the screen in old fashioned retro green system font text. Run the installer to install the program, then set your screensaver the normal way via the screensaver tab on the properties box of the desktop.
